Spark Plug - Leadership BIO for July 26th

Spark Plug has given the keynote presentations for many Fortune 500 companies such as Georgia Power Company, government agencies, leadership conferences, managers' meetings, CEO meetings, sales meetings or any other meeting where the topic of leadership is discussed.

Spark Plug was raised in a poor family with a father who physically abused his mother. His presentations on overcoming the odds and building a successful business and leadership strategies are filled with entertaining and unforgettable personal stories about perseverance. Spark is often heralded as the highlight of meetings and conferences.

“The Spark Plug” has sold everything from pots and pans from the trunk of his car to advertising. While working for a sporting goods organization, the president, John Smith, was so impressed with his sales ability, energy and enthusiasm that he bestowed upon him the moniker, “Spark Plug”. After being named top sales person numerous times, he began his own advertising business where he found great financial success. Public speaking is his love. When you see him, you’ll feel it.
Spark Plug is the human spark plug for ACDelco, the largest automotive spark plug maker, a distinguished graduate of Mercer University, a volunteer for the American Lung Association, Habitat for Humanity, and American Red Cross. He also serves as a mentor to an elementary school student at East Fayette and is the recipient of Atlanta’s prestigious Phoenix Award for community service. He’s a humanitarian, entrepreneur, U.S. Navy veteran, tennis player, snow skier, biking enthusiast, art collector, author of two books, photographer, and publisher.

July 12th Speaker BIO

Established in 1986, Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) exists to provide medical equipment to disabled people in the metro Atlanta area who could not otherwise afford it (we cannot ship items--sorry!). Thousands have been helped by the ministry which was started in the home of Ed and Annie Butchart. The Butcharts now have an advisory role in the ministry. Chris Brand oversees the day-to-day operation as Executive Director. The ministry is housed in a 64,000-square foot facility in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Our growth has only been possible because of God's unbelievable blessings. We thank Him for the opportunity He has given us to serve others.
